Save time and money, enjoy freshly roasted coffee delivered to you on your schedule.

avaBerry roasts your coffee within 24 hours of shipment, to prepare your coffee we need to know the roast that you prefer. The roast selected can make a significant distinction in the coffee’s flavor. Our recommended roast for each coffee is listed by default, however as we are a custom roaster, you are free to select whichever roast you desire. In fact, if you have a preference to your roast that is not listed below, feel free to note what you are looking for in the comments section upon check-out, we will do our best to comply with your instructions.
Medium (City Roast)
JavaBerry’s lightest roast, often favored by those doing professional evaluations or ‘cuppings’ of coffee since the flavor profile is easier to distinguish. The color is medium brown with no visible oils on the bean, rich aroma and exceptional flavor.
JavaBerry Roast (JB Roast)
Our favorite, an ideal roast that is in between medium and dark. Perfect for those who crave the beans true flavor characteristics but prefer the influence of the smoky tones of a darker roast. The color is dark chocolate with a hint of oil visible on the bean surface, full bodied, richer in flavor, with a complex aroma.
Dark Roast (Viennese or Light French Roast)
While not as dark as a French or Italian, the dark roast is preferred by those who desire a stronger flavor. The color is deep brown with visible oil on the bean surface, maximum body, smoky flavor with gentle acidity.
Midnight Roast (French Roast, Espresso)
JavaBerry’s darkest roast, favored by espresso drinkers and those seeking an intense deep smoky flavor. The color is a very dark brown, bordering on black with more visible surface oil than our dark roast.
GRIND OPTIONS
Whole Bean
Our most popular selection, this is in fact no grind at all. The beans are roasted and packaged, leaving you the ability to grind the beans to your specific coffee making method. The major advantage to having whole bean coffee is freshness, coffee beans should be ground immediately before brewing.
French Press
A course grind suitable for a French Press coffee maker otherwise known as a 'plunger' or 'press pot' The course girnd ensures the mesh screen of the press will filter the coffee grounds and separate the liquid from the sediment.
Drip
A finer grind suitable for a drip maker which utilizes a cone filter constructed of gold or paper.
